About the Program
The Summer Academic Program (SAP) – Accelerated Learning is an eight-week in-center summer day camp designed to help students acquire essential skills and knowledge to prepare them for the upcoming school year. SAP uses a systematic approach to teach concepts and build skills through practice. The program aims to close the summer learning gap, build students’ confidence, and ensure they are ready for the new school year. SAP 2024 runs from June 10th to August 9th, with a break during Independence Day week. Students can sign up for a single week, multiple weeks, or even drop-in days. SAP focuses on Mathematics, English Language Arts, and STEAM projects with students divided into groups by grade level. In Mathematics, students learn the topics and skills they will encounter in the coming school year, giving them an advantage in their studies. In English language arts, students practice persuasive, narrative, and expository writing styles and learn to create a pre-writing plan, along with long passage comprehension and grammar skills practice. Hands-on STEAM activities will cultivate a growth mindset through collaborative learning and team-building exercises. It sparks creativity, fosters innovation, and nurtures problem-solving skills through real-world design challenges.
